SupplementWise

About SupplementWise

We read research papers so you don't have to.

Why We Built This

India has a supplement problem — not a shortage of products, but a shortage of trustworthy information. Walk into any pharmacy or browse Amazon India, and you'll find thousands of supplement products with bold claims. But which ones actually have scientific evidence behind them? What dosage actually works? Which brands are trustworthy?

Most "health" websites in India are thinly veiled affiliate marketing operations that recommend whatever pays the highest commission. We wanted to build something different — a platform where research quality determines recommendations, not affiliate payouts.

Our Approach

Every compound on SupplementWise goes through a structured research review. We start with PubMed and look specifically for human clinical trials — not animal studies, not in-vitro petri dish experiments, and definitely not manufacturer-funded marketing masquerading as science.

We grade evidence quality transparently (Strong, Moderate, Emerging, Traditional) so you can make informed decisions about what's well-proven versus what's promising but early.

We account for India-specific factors: vegetarian diets leading to B12 and Omega-3 deficiency, phytate-rich grains reducing zinc absorption, darker skin tones requiring more sun for Vitamin D synthesis, and FSSAI regulations for supplement safety.

Who We Are

SupplementWise is an Indian platform built by pharmacists and nutrition researchers. Our editorial team reviews every compound page and article against published clinical literature — DOI citations are listed on every compound page and blog article.

Note: SupplementWise is an independent Indian platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or related to "Supplements Wise Ltd", a UK-registered company operating in a different market with a different business model.

Our Business Model

We sustain this platform through Amazon India affiliate links. When you buy a recommended product through our links, Amazon supports us — the selection, however, is driven purely by research and quality criteria, never by affiliate economics.

Our complete brand selection criteria are published openly on our Transparency page.
